Thanks to our Parent’s Association who organised a fun day on Thursday 17th December with Kenny Hassett delivering party games & activities to all classes. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and the selection boxes too!
It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas…..
Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas and all the best for 2021.
Huge thanks to Waterford Senior Hurler Billy Power who came into school on Thursday 10th December. He did a PE session with each class who were all dressed in Blue & White to support our county team in the All Ireland Hurling Final.

Well done to the fantastic 5th and 6th class students who are through to the semi-finals in debating.
They won their debate on Wednesday with flying colors and really were the worthy winners. We proposed the motion that “Billionaires should not go to space” and the students had fantastic speeches, spoke with excellent expression and had fiery rebuttals for the opposing team.
Well done to all, this debate even gave us inspiration for our Art lesson afterwards.
Maths Week 2020
6th class students enjoyed an array of activities during Maths Week 2020 which included learning card games, playing maths themed board games, learning maths magic tricks and completing maths trails.
Well done to the 6th class students who completed a Maths trail which was kindly sent to us from The Tipperary Museum of Hidden History. This trail was embedded with local history and featured an array of mathematical equations and tested the student’s problem-solving abilities.

Dear parents / community members,
Under normal circumstances, we would love to invite you in to see our new extension and our upgraded facilities but due to Covid 19, we have to restrict visitors to our school. Therefore I have taken photographs for you to view below.
We are delighted with our new classroom and resource rooms, and the extra space in the two offices and staffroom couldn’t have come at a better time.
I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all parents and community members who have supported our building fund so generously. We could not have completed the work if it were not for your contributions. We have one or two projects which we would like to finish e.g a canopy over the front door, and lots of final touches inside the new extension.
Huge thanks to Eoin Hunt of Clodagh Construction and his team for managing to complete the build on time, despite losing over seven weeks on site due to Covid 19, on what was already an exceptionally tight timeline. We know Clodagh Construction put in evenings and weekends over the last few month to have the school ready for us all by September 1st.
Kind regards,
Cathy Power
Principal
