A big Well Done to Harry O Brien who headed up our Diabetes Fundraiser on December 15th. Harry, along with Mrs Cahill Fogarty, gave Diabetes Awareness and Educational presentations to all classes. Thank you to all pupils who wore their Christmas jumpers on the day and to all families in the school who donated to our fundraiser. We raised an impressive €381.50 for Diabetes Ireland.

Christmas Fun at School

There's always lots of activity in school in the lead up to the Christmas Holidays. We had lots of practice for this year's nativity play 'Whoops a Daisy Angel.' Ms Cahill Fogarty & Harry O'Brien in 6th Class organised a 'Diabetes Awareness Day' which was really informative for everybody. The 6th Class organised a hugely successful craft fair to raise funds for the school. All classes enjoyed our Festive Fun Gymnastics Day on the astroturf. Our wonderful Parents Association organised a Bouncy Castle Day. All of this in addition to lots of Christmas arts & crafts being done in every classroom.
Pictured below are children in Ms Casey's 3rd & 4th class enjoying our Festive Fun Gymnastics Session. Scroll through to check out amazing teamwork on their paired Acro Challenges! Before Christmas they made beautiful Christmas centrepieces and enjoyed Christmas Jumper Day.

Bricks 4 Kids

On the 17th November we were delighted to welcome Bricks 4 Kids to school with their amazing Lego sets. Here are students from 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Class are concentrating on completing their tasks. It was a tricky one that required a lot of attention to detail! They had to follow the instructions very carefully, to construct a Velociraptor.

It's beginning to look a little like Christmas...

Thank you so much to everyone who donated so generously to the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal this year. It is a wonderful cause and an excellent opportunity for us to think about children who have less than ourselves. Sincere thanks to our wonderful Parents Association who organised this initiative.
